"Adventures in Educational Blogging"
I came across "Adventures in Educational Blogging" for my "Educational Blog" assignment and found it fascinating. She mentions that she looked at XO computers for her students. I think that it would be a great idea to have laptops for each of the students. These computers are kid friendly. They come with great software packages. So much could be done with these. The students could have a chance to use webcams to talk to other students in various parts of the world. They could do homework, research, and pretty much do all the lessons on the laptop. If the students work is monitored correctly, I don't see the use of paper. Students could turn their homework in via e-mail and ultimately the laptops would save costs. One thing that I noticed in my observation is that the students' notebooks are always falling on the floor, breaking, and getting more and more disorganized. So much time and money could be saved if laptops were invested in.

While I love technology, I am not sure that paper should be eliminated from the classroom. I believe that children still need to learn to write and it is hard, especially for younger students, to type and compose on the computer. However, I do agree that computers can do a lot. I would be interested to learn more about the XO computers.
